Rucci & Fedeli // Get up
Cosmic Sumo Recording
Often in dance music it can take real guts to slow things down. However can really be worth the risk if done right, and that’s just what Rucci & Fedeli have done. “Get Up” is nearly five minutes of deep, slow-building cosmic grooves that is to take its time to work a dancefloor. The “Happy Edit” is trippy too but added vocals chants and vibes for extra measure. (Juno’s Review)
“While The City Sleeps, Tulioxi compose Electronic Vintage music. As soon as the sun comes up you never have the perfect consciousness of what happened in those lonely and calm recording sessions, sometimes you realize that you got a music bomb in your hands and sometimes
you find yourself asking why you were so excited for that poor ugly track you made and you erase everything. Other times, luckily, you just pass to something else and you forget about it.
then, one day you take a moment to listen to your “old” things, forgotten in the archive, together with hundreds of project and suddenly you finds out some little gems that were there waiting for see the light.
This Album is a collection of tracks that tulioxi made in the last 3 years but for a reason or another were never published.
James Rod and Tulioxi brings some of their respective composition skills on this new, exciting Release with the imprint
of Cosmic Sumo Recordings.
The pact between the two artist here is quite clear, everyone drops an original track and the other guy make a remix of it.
James Rod give us a Space Italo Disco gem with rolling rythmics and the huge tipical “rollerskate” bassline, Tulioxi instead push his sounds to the more dirty territory of indie Disco.
We know nothing about him. Few informations here and there tell us that he’s living on the top of Froid Mountain and is a great listener and collector of Funky!
Andrea Rucci & Blade (Jestofunk), friends and console buddies since ever, found out this strange fellow during a mushrooms hunt, right on that strange mountain. They developed a great feeling from the beginning, sharing the same passion for music. Montefroid led the two djs to the most hidden and rich mushroom farms and at that point, basically, their life was changed forever. Together, like a secret society they have produced so many records, so many songs for so many labels.
And now, finally, Montefroid has landed on Cosmic Sumo recordings to do what he does the best, the great, good, super fucking driving funky!
Rucci & Fedeli are back with a new single.
After one year from the most successful release of Cosmic Sumo Recordings, the guys are trying to give us a new classic…
As you can hear, here at Cosmic Sumo no one wants to sound the same, and every artist of the rooster is encouraged to feel free to evolve and to change style, this release is a perfect example of the label’s attitude, in fact Rucci & Fedeli brings to us a completely different sound from their previous “Space IceCream” single. this time the groove is Funky and percussive, fat and sly…
Tulioxi comes back home, and he does it in a very sparkling way.
After a little break has landed home with a new release for his own “Cosmic Sumo”. And it’s a full-length album.
The subgenre coverage is pratically full, with a very large use of styles and sounds, from the little funny experiment in “We are not Computers” to the Sixties influences of “Spacebongo” passing through IndieDisco and Deep house.
These 10 pieces are pure class and brilliant composition skills
The album ends with a live recording of a performance made by synths. sequencers and drum machines played and conducted in real time. This is a good example of Tulioxi’s skills as performer and musician who is not thinking just “in the computer box” but he still have an organic approach to EDM, something frankly normal 10 or 15 years ago, but something not so common nowadays.

We don’t know much about the identity of G I V D A, but the smart money is on it being a side project of Cosmic Sumo boss Andrea Rucci. Certainly, fans of the Italian producer’s curious analogue mix of psychedelic synths and sparse electronic rhythms will enjoy “Cosmic Circle”. From the audible hiss and vintage drum machine beats, to the proto-acid electronics and fuzzy, alien chords, it’s every bit an old fashioned cosmic disco weird-out. Rucci’s own edit turns it into an intergalactic, robo-disco stomper, while Loudtone channels the spirit of Codek on his wide-eyed rework.
